Farewell 2011

Hello my faithful readers and followers! Sorry for my nearly month long hiatus, December has been a crazy month! I hope that everyone has had an amazing month and holiday full of lots of love! The hubs and I have had an amazing past month...let me fill you in......

We bought my dream car the day after Thanksgiving, it was LOVE at first sight! So thankful and totally enjoying my new ride. It is a definite upgrade from the old ride trust me!

Lots of holiday decor around the house! I loved how cozy our home was during the holidays!

This year the hubs and I hosted our inaugural Tacky Sweater Party! We had fun and were able to donate gifts to Toys for Tots! Everyone bought a dish, and I made some Wacky Christmas photo props! We also gave a prize away for best dressed!

S, T, me and The hubs rocking some wacky photo props!

Crazy Mustaches!

The hubs with a Santa beard and Santa hat!

Best dressed couple!! He made that sweater all on his own! I was impressed!

Our tree the morning after with the toys for Toys for Tots!

Some of our set up, Food, crock pots, and photo props, drink station, and voting station for best dressed!

My sister-in-law and father-in-law came up to tour some local colleges and universities! E (my sister-in-law) is graduating high school in May and the hubs and I enjoyed spending time helping her make some decisions! We had a little fun too, lots of grilling out (because well it was 65 almost everyday in December!!!) and even took in a Christmas light show!

The hubs and E

I am really looking forward to 2012 and all my upcoming projects! We just started a small one in our half bath...here's a sneak peek....

I just started to update our light fixture in the half bath! Getting rid of those ugly 80's bulbs on a bar and replaced it with this!

Still have some work to do, I'll reveal it when it's all done!

2011 has been an amazing year and full of so many blessings! It started off celebrating New Years in the North Georgia Mountains with a group of our close friends!

New Years Day 2011

In 2011, I married my wonderful hubby and celebrated with all my family and friends, we got to celebrate so many of our friends weddings, traveled a ton, started this lovely blog, bought a new car, and we both have continued to work with great companies and people. I am so excited to see what 2012 has to offer, and what better way to ring in the new year than celebrating in Hilton Head Island with my hubby and my parents!

Our Wedding: June 4, 2011

I would just like to say THANKS SO MUCH to all my readers and followers, this blog has been so amazing and I have really enjoyed it! I really appreciate all of you so much for supporting me through this journey! I can not wait to hit the ground running in 2012!

Hello "The Inspired Collection" readers! I feel so excited to be blog swapping with Kelli and meeting all of you today! So please allow me to introduce myself first. My name is Olga from Stardust - Decor & Style, I'm married to the love of my life and we have two great kiddos. I quit my job in a shipping company two years ago and after a while we bought our current house.
Since then... I'm in continuous search of finding treasures in the blogland!  And my blog is all about that as well as DIY, decoration, makeovers and transformations, house tours and everything beautiful!
S t a r d u s t - Decor & Style
So, wanna see some Before & Afters shots of my own projects that you can find in my blog? Well, here we go...
BEFORE
AFTER
Total cost of the whole transformation: less than $100.00 (except for the light fixture which was somewhat expensive... but couldn't resist it...you feel me right?)!
The hallway
(sorry, just this photo of one of the walls)
                                                                            BEFORE
                                                                             AFTER
See what the power of paint can do? And this project didn't cost anything at all. The paint was leftovers from previous paint jobs which I mixed all together. And there you have it! I loooooove horizontal stripes! If you all enjoyed the post, then please hop in to my blog for more pics and tutorials of the projects where you could also check my balcony update or give me some of your ideas for my living room. Leaving a sweet comment would make me happy! And if you decide to  become friends... well this would really brighten up my day! Thank You Kelli for having me here today! Merry Christmas to all of you and your families!                  xoxo Photobucket

Introducing A Step in the Journey

Today I am swapping places with LB from A Step in the Journey! Her blog is so cute and full of great projects! After you learn a little about her hop on over to her page and say hi to me and take a look around!

Hello friend!! I am SUPER excited to be here today at The Inspired Collection But first, I must remember my manners & thank the EXTRAORDINARY, Kelli for having me.  It's truly an honor to be here!
I'm Laura Beth from A Step in the Journey, but my friends call me LB.  It's great to meet you! My little space in the blogosphere is a "jack of all trades, (but master of none)" kind of blog.  Here are a few of my most favorite posts that detail my adventures in the following... crafting: Oh the Places We'll Go  This project was for our first anniversary!  And after our recent trip to San Francisco I need to add another button.
or what about a few Christmas Canvases??
I also LOVE to create a good printable...here are two of my favorites:

Anyone like furniture restoration?? I consider that in the crafting realm.
and what about a bathroom renovation
photography: I hosted a Photography Challenge every Thursday, and learned SO much to sharpen my skills.
Each week had a theme, for example BLACK & WHITE!
cooking:
My adventures as a newlywed, trying to keep her husband fed. A few specialties...
a little Chicken Fried Rice, anyone???
life:
Some of which currently includes Auburn football and my husband
and the marvelous tales of our sweet dog Max!
(unless he gives you the evil eye because you've been photographing him for 20 minutes)
Merry Christmas!!
I would LOVE it if you would stop by sometime!!
It's quite an entertaining journey :)
Thanks again Kelli for inviting me over! Stop by and see what Kelli shared with us today!!
